Mortal Kombat and fans of injustice sent into speculative frenzy after developer NRS tweet

A new tweet from a developer at NetherRealm Studios has Mortal combat and Injustice fans are going wild with speculation. Since its release Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate in November, NetherRealm Studios was quiet. Instead of that silence, there have been rumors and “leaks” pointing to more DLC characters arriving in the aforementioned game this year, but at the moment these are just rumors and leaks. In the meantime, there is reason to believe Injustice 3 will be revealed (and released) very soon. In other words, the hype is growing, and recently the game’s lead host Andy Senesac tapped into that hype with a teasing new Twitter post.

Speaking to Twitter this week, Senesac revealed that he and the team were back in the motion capture studio dusting off the equipment after the pandemic kept them away from the studio for months. On top of that, it uses #WhatsInStore, followed by a thoughtful emoji. Naturally, the combination of these two sent the two Injustice and Mortal combat fans in a rabbit hole of speculation.

Obviously, Senesac is teasing something here, but there is no real clue as to what he’s teasing. Some Mortal combat fans pointed out that Senesac wears a Mortal combat shirt, suggesting that it is MK related, but it’s a pretty big stretch.

Of course, it is quite possible that it is neither for Injustice 3 or Mortal Kombat 11 DLC characters, but something less exciting like Mortal Kombat 11 movie skins.

Unfortunately, at the moment we are in the same boat as Mortal combat and Injustice fans, which means we have nothing more than mere speculation.
