In Mortal Kombat 11, it's time to crack skulls, but there's still a lot to be revealed before it's launched on April 23rd. Game Informer introduced the game as a May kover feature, revealing a new character and previously unknown features and factors.
First of all, we have the revelation of Cetrion, one of the elder gods on whom Raiden always complains. His attacks are all about the elements, that is, a lot of stone throwing, whipping and explosive shooting. It also has a comically absurd fatality.
Then, Game Informer reveals additional information about the single player modes that will be available. Tag Team Battles, where players choose multiple characters and alternate between them, will not return to the traditional sense of the word, but will feature in some of the off-line tours Towers of Time. The mode will also include ko-operative boss fights and some extra surprises.
Finally, we get information about the kustom is moving that are available in the game. Just like Injustice 2, MK11 offers customizable outfits and move lists. In addition, as Injustice 2, these features will not be available in competitive online or offline modes, although cosmetic changes are. The developers said the kompetitve game would look a lot like the MKX Variations, with each character getting at least two predefined movement loadings specifically designed for certain game styles.
We also recently received a new trailer – "Old Skool vs New Skool – which shows more time shenanigans that meet the young and old versions of the fighters. The trailer also confirmed that Jax, Liu Kang, Kitana and Kung Lao were returning fighters. They have been seen briefly in previous trailers, but seeing their return is still enjoyable.
Keep it here for more MK11 news as we approach its launch!
