Mossimo Giannulli was sentenced to five months in prison, but after 56 days in solitary confinement he is asking for early release.

According to court documents obtained by E! News, Lori Loughlin’s husband has filed an emergency motion to change his sentence. Specifically, his lawyer asked a judge to consider allowing Mossimo to serve the remainder of his sentence at home, citing concerns about the circumstances of his detention.

According to his plea deal made, upon entering prison, Mossimo was supposed to quarantine himself with other minimum security prisoners, after which he would be transferred to a minimum security camp. However, his lawyer claims Mossimo has been placed in solitary confinement near medium security prisoners for 24 hours a day, even after repeatedly testing negative for COVID-19.

While on his own, Mossimo’s lawyer claims he was allowed to leave his cell three times a week to shower, but stayed inside for meals. The lawyer further claims that he was only allowed to call his family sporadically.
