A mother-son duo was charged with conspiracy following the Capitol riots on Jan.6, according to a legal file on Saturday.
Lisa Eisenhart and her son Eric Muchel are accused of “knowingly and willfully conspiring with known and unknown persons” to “obstruct or obstruct” law enforcement officers, according to the file submitted to the United States District Court of District of Columbia.
The Tennessee Central District U.S. Attorney’s Office said on Twitter that Lisa Eisenhart was arrested in Nashville on Saturday because of the riots.

Munchel, believed to be the masked man pictured wearing a handful of plastic handcuffs across the Senate chamber, was previously billed with illegal entry and violent entry into the Capitol grounds.
In the Saturday depot, authorities say video footage from inside the Capitol building shows Eisenhart and Munchel “near a crowd of individuals physically attacking two Capitol Hill policemen guarding the entrance to the Senate Chamber.”
The mother-son duo appear to be joining the chase and are both seen holding flexible wrists in their hands as they chase. The two officers eventually escaped to a lower level of the building, and Eisenhart then appears to be yelling at the officers as he leans over a ramp.
Munchel and Eisenhart then appear to enter the Senate chamber through the same area the officers were guarding.
The affidavit also points to an article in The Times newspaper published on January 10 about the riots.
Eisenhart told the newspaper that two of them entered Capitol Hill as “observers”, but she also told the newspaper: “This country was founded on revolution. . . I’d rather die a 57 year old woman than live under oppression. I prefer to die and I prefer to fight.
The arrests come as federal law enforcement continues efforts to locate and charge people in connection with a riot that ultimately led to five deaths, including two Capitol Hill police officers.
Dozens of people were arrested in connection with the January 6 riots and several people have since lost their jobs.
The Ministry of Justice has said previously his charges of sedition and conspiracy against some of the suspected rioters.
