Mountain giant Mountain Dew hopes to be forgiven for angry Michigan residents after the company mistakenly placed the Upper Peninsula in Wisconsin in some recent marketing material.

On Wednesday evening, during a Twitter exchange, the company declared to the @UpperPeninsula account that he will create a special edition label dedicated to the U.P. as part of the apology for the accident.

Mountain Dew asked the account to help them talk about everything that makes the U.P. so good. Immediately, people began to leave their own suggestions, including: pastries, Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon Falls, The Mackinac Bridge, Soo Locks and of course "Yoopers".

The answer came after the U.P. Twitter account has dared the company to make a label specifically for the Upper Peninsula.

The mistake spread on the Internet Tuesday after being noticed in a video and images of marketing materials related to the latest promotion of the pop company. This promotion involves a permanent contest that rewards winners with a $ 100 pre-paid gift card if they collect bottles from all 50 states.

After collecting the bottles, participants must enter a code on the bottle cap and scan an image of the bottle. Once the 50 codes and images have been entered, the company will send them a $ 100 prepaid gift card.

Mountain Dew did not say there would be some kind of price related to the U.P. label, whether it will even be part of the contest or even if it will be made public. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see how people react to the special edition once the label is made.
