“When I was 16, all I cared about was to break the patriarchy and burn everything down,” Amy Poehler says in the trailer for the teenage film grrrl-power Moxie, his follow-up as a director Wine country. Poehler plays the cool mom of Vivian (Hadley Robinson), who is launching a feminist zine to protest against extremely sexist standards at her high school, where guys rank girls on hot lists and girls are sent home to wear tank tops . It’s one of those teen movies where adults threaten to be more interesting than kids, if only because the teachers are played by Marcia Gay Harden (stern principal) and Ike Barinholtz (bewildered professor) . Based on Jennifer Mathieu’s 2017 YA novel, this Netflick starts airing on March 3 to teach kids about physical media.
