Mitch Haniger, Seattle Mariners' center player, was placed on the injured list Friday with a torn testicle after being injured with a foul on Thursday.
The reliever Tayler Scott is called Triple-A Tacoma to take Haniger's place on the list.
Haniger was injured in the third round of Thursday's loss against the Houston Astros, but only left until the seventh inning. Haniger, who started the season with a tear, is fighting the plate. His average dropped to .220 and he leads the American League with 81 shots in attack.
