MSNBC avoids covering CNN sexual harassment scandal against Chris Cuomo

MSNBC has strangely avoided covering the sexual harassment scandal plaguing its direct liberal competitor, CNN.

Veteran television producer Shelley Ross claimed in a New York Times guest essay published Friday morning that CNN anchor Chris Cuomo grabbed her buttock at an event in 2005 while they were both working for ABC News. She even included an email he sent her at the time to apologize for the incident. Cuomo reiterated his apologies to his former boss in a statement to The Times.

However, MSNBC has turned a blind eye to the new controversy, avoiding any mention throughout the day’s programming, according to Grabien’s transcripts.

CHRIS CUOMO SILENCE ON HIS OWN SEXUAL HARASSMENT SCANDAL ON CNN SHOW AFTER BROTHER’S SAGA

MSNBC and CNN rarely tackle each other’s embarrassing headlines. MSNBC has offered minimal coverage of Cuomo’s involvement in the scandals of his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, which range from help to his brother’s response to accusers of sexual misconduct at the reception of VIP COVID tests in the first months of the pandemic.

The Peacock Network also completely avoided the awkward return of Jeffrey Toobin, CNN’s chief legal analyst and Zoom masturbation star, according to Grabien.

CNN, in turn, hardly ever covers MSNBC controversies and outlandish comments. More recently, CNN harassed Nicki Minaj’s tweets expressing hesitation about the vaccine, but managed to avoid mentioning the viral feud the rapper’s superstar had with MSNBC host Joy Reid.

Cuomo took a page from the MSNBC playbook and was silent during Friday night’s “Cuomo Prime Time”.

CNN has yet to publicly acknowledge the scandal hitting its biggest star. The only mention of one of Cuomo’s colleagues was buried in Brian Stelter’s “Trusted Source” newsletter.

The new allegation against CNN’s anchor was announced in a leaked audio tape obtained by “Tucker Carlson tonight” in September 2020 of comments he made to ex-Trump attorney Michael Cohen about his days at ABC News.

“Do you know how many phone calls I got from people at ABC who say reporters are calling and lying about things they heard about me trying to get stories about me when I was at ABC? Guys calling and saying, “I heard he was ABC’s Charlie Rose, used to invite women over to the hotel and open his robe.” what do I look like the kind of guy who has to do this? ” Cuomo said.

“Sure why not?” Cohen responded with a chuckle.
