Much of the mainstream media continues to downplay the growing turmoil in New York Democratic government Andrew Cuomo.

Last week, news networks also played down AG James’ astonishing report of coronavirus deaths in New York City nursing homes. ABC completely avoided the on-air controversy as CNN and MSNBC offered minimal coverage during daytime programming and ignored prime-time coverage entirely.

NBC’s “Nightly News” spent the most time on the topic Thursday night at 86 seconds, CBS’s “Evening News” spent 10 seconds on a longer report on the coronavirus that didn’t even mention Cuomo by name .

During the first months of the pandemic, the media widely worshiped Cuomo’s “leadership” despite his controversial nursing home policy ordering assisted living centers to accept COVID patients from overcrowded hospitals. Critics point to Cuomo’s ill-fated policy as being responsible for the deaths of thousands of elderly New York residents.
