SRussia's Special Adviser Robert Mueller's investigation into Russia would have funds for several more months.

Although recent reports suggest that the investigation may be successful in the coming weeks, three US officials told Reuters that Mueller's team had funds until the end of September, indicating that would extend beyond the spring.

When contacted for comment, the Justice Department noted that the Mueller Treasury Office had been funded by the Treasury Department, which is why Mueller's office was left out of the budget request President Trump for the next fiscal year. "The special council is funded by the credits of the independent council, a permanent and indefinite credit established in the 1988 finance law of the ministry," said a spokesman for the MJ.

The two-year investigation cost $ 9 million from October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018, according to documents from the Department of Justice. The cost of the investigation since then is uncertain.

Mueller investigates Russia's interference in the 2016 election and seeks to determine whether the Trump campaign was concluded with the Kremlin. Trump repeatedly protested against the investigation, calling it a "witch hunt".
