Mueller pushes back on demand CNN has been informed of Roger Stone's arrest

SSpecial advocate Robert Mueller rejected the claim that CNN was aware of Roger Stone's arrest.

"The Special Council Office is not aware of any information indicating that the Rapporteurs have been informed in advance of any possible indictment from the Special Council Office" , the government said in its response following Stone's request to justify the publication of his indictment after his arrest last month.

When Stone's house in Fort Lauderdale was raided by the FBI on January 25 and he was arrested, a CNN crew was present to capture the moment just after 6am.

President Trump, Stone and other people claimed that CNN had been informed, possibly by the special advocate, of the arrest and raid.

CNN said they had not been informed, but insisted that it was journalistic intuition and the grand jury movement that led him to settle in Stone's home. The network also indicated that another film crew had been set up at a separate location. Nothing happened there, which, according to the network, is proof that nothing has been reported.

The prosecution stated that it did not violate a court order when it released Stone's indictment after his arrest.
