More news about packers
GREEN BAY, Wis. – Green Bay Packers President Mark Murphy said his team is in talks to play a pre-season game in Canada.
Murphy says it would probably be the Oakland Raiders home game that would be played in Saskatchewan or Winnipeg. Green Bay is the only NFL team not to have played in an international match. Murphy spoke about Canadian football following the NFL owners meeting in Phoenix, Arizona.
The NFL schedule has not been released yet. But we know that as part of the celebration of its 100th season, the NFL will break with tradition and will feature the Packers against the Chicago Bears in its inaugural game on September 5th.
Usually, the Super Bowl champion is the local team for the first game in prime time, but the league wants to salute the historical rivalries of 2019.
