Muslim media influencer Amani al-Khatahtbeh claimed on Saturday that she was kicked from an American Airlines flight to Newark, New Jersey, because another passenger “felt uncomfortable” over the a passionate verbal exchange at the TSA security line.

Al-Khatahtbeh, founder of the Muslim Girl website, underwent a standard security check Saturday morning at Newark International Airport before boarding a flight to Charlotte, North Carolina, she tweeted. , claiming that she had lived “the craziest experience” and that she was deeply disturbed. .

Later, after boarding her flight, al-Khatahtbeh was reportedly taken off the plane because the other passenger “felt uncomfortable.”

“The last 6 hours of my life have been exhausting and traumatic,” she tweeted.

American Airlines responded to at least one of its tweets, saying the airline was concerned about the incident. American Airlines said in a statement it was aware “that an incident has occurred.”

“We are concerned about these allegations and our team is working to understand what happened,” the company said in the statement.
