Krasley has lived his entire life in Ocean County, New Jersey. “Her greatest passion was dancing and she invented dances with her sister and her neighborhood children growing up,” according to her obituary. She also enjoyed “playing video games and spending time with her family.”
She was known for her TikTok videos and for starting the “dance has no size limit” trend. And she dreamed of one day opening a dance studio for young children with special needs, continues her obituary.
Krasley starred in an episode of My 600-Lb. Life in 2020, entitled “Time is running out for Gina”. The show documents the lives of overweight and obese people.
“My life has been tough,” she said on the show. “I’ve always felt all my life like I’m always, like, pushed under the rug.” She also said she was worried about her health, saying: “If I don’t do anything now, it will get worse and I will die.”
“TLC was deeply saddened by the loss of Gina Krasley, who shared her weight loss journey on My 600lb Life,” the network, which airs the show, said on Twitter. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during these difficult times.”
In 1998, Krasley also appeared in an independent film titled Walk to the waterline. She is survived by his wife, mother and sister, among other family members. Instead of flowers, her family asked others to donate to mental health charities.
