Wendy Williams spills tea on assaulting ex-husband Kevin Hunter.
“Kevin cheated on me while I was pregnant with my son,” she told “Extra” correspondent Billy Bush on Thursday, explaining that she had not divorced him at the time for her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., now 20 years old.
“I didn’t want him to leave me alone,” she said. Williams admitted that she knew then that “it wasn’t until death do us part.”
“Kevin was a serial cheater. Kevin had different mistresses. The latter was the one he had the longest relationship with, ”Williams said, alluding to Sharina Hudson.
Hunter did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
Page Six revealed in March 2019 that Hudson gave birth to a child with Hunter while still married to the radio and TV personality. Williams filed for divorce from Hunter weeks later.
As Hunter released a statement, “I am not proud of my recent actions and take all responsibility and apologize to my wife, family and her amazing fans.”
Now she says it was “cathartic” to take Hunter out of her life and divorce him, but she doesn’t regret their time together.
“I don’t regret falling in love with Kevin… and I certainly don’t regret getting the best divorce lawyer possible… and fighting tooth and nail to get everything out of this divorce,” he said. she declared.
Page Six exclusively reported that the former couple finalized their divorce in January 2020. Both chose to waive alimony, but Hunter received an undisclosed lump sum from Williams and severance pay from Wendy, Inc.
Williams says she and Hunter occasionally stay in touch for the sake of their son.
“He calls every now and then,” she shared. “I’m not blocking his number, however. He’s my son’s father… He came to my mother’s funeral.
Williams’ mother, Shirley Skinner Williams, passed away in late 2020.
