The Cleveland Browns’ defense is one of the main reasons the team have started 3-1 this season. This unit was led by star defensive end Myles Garrett, who recorded five sacks in the last two games. His game caught the attention of the league.
On Monday, Garrett revealed he was tested for drugs after Sunday’s 14-7 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. He criticizes him for being sleeveless during the match.
“I’m leaving sleeveless for a game and they hit me with a ‘you got a random drug test in the morning’,” Garrett tweeted.
The NFL drug testing system is supposed to be completely random after games throughout the season. Garrett typically wears long sleeves to games, so he thinks showing off his huge arms may have been the reason he was tested this week.
During the 2021 season, Garrett racked up 11 tackles and six league-leading sacks. In Sunday’s victory over the Vikings, the Browns pass thrower recorded five tackles and 0.5 sacks.
Garrett recorded 4.5 sacks against the Chicago Bears in Week 3 and made life absolutely miserable for rookie quarterback Justin Fields. Garrett also sacked Patrick Mahomes, calling him from the Kansas City Chiefs, once in Week 1. Obviously he’s having a really good season.
