The Dolphins lack healthy running backers on the active roster, but the situation in the backfield could be improved by bringing in someone from the injured reserve.

Myles Gaskin returned to training last week and worked all three days of the week as he returned from an MCL sprain. Dolphins head coach Brian Flores told Friday’s press conference that the team will discuss whether to activate it for Sunday’s game.

Gaskin would be useful against the Bengals. Flores said Salvon Ahmed and DeAndre Washington would both be considered questionable to play. Ahmed has a shoulder injury and Washington has a hamstring injury.

Flores also told reporters running back Matt Breida was ill on Friday. That leaves Patrick Laird as the only healthy back currently on the 53-player roster.
