Nadler assures that "some" of Mueller's reports would not flee; Giuliani well with complete output

The Speaker of the Judiciary Chamber, Jerrold Nadler, DN.Y., said on Sunday that the report of the special advocate Robert Mueller could contain "reasons for impeachment" of President Donald Trump or the president. other actions and that "some" of this report would not flee publicly if they were provided without drafting its committee.

In an interview on CBS's "Face the Nation," Nadler said, "Congress has the right to view the entire report without any deletions, so we can see what's going on. the".

Nadler pointed out that some members of Mueller's team "seem to be very dissatisfied" with the summary of the report presented by Attorney General William Barr. The New York Times and the Washington Post first reported on Mueller's frustration with Barr's summary.

Asked about the eventual content of the report, Nadler replied: "There could be impeachment motives, other actions, things that the American people should know."

"You know, you can commit shameful acts, you can commit total betrayals of the public interest without committing impeccable acts," Nadler said. "And if you did that, the public should know that too, and the standard is not an indictment.The standard is that we must protect the public from presidential misconduct."

If his committee received Mueller's full and unredacted report, Nadler would have said, "Certainly, some of them would not flee publicly."

"The committee has a very good record of protecting the information it has decided to protect," he added.

Appearing on the same program, Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, said he "would like" Nadler "to get all the information," even while protecting the grand jury testimony.

"Except for a few small criticisms, the report does not worry me at all," said Giuliani, adding, "There is no way that these two good lawyers [Barr and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein] would have written this kind of letter if there was a problem ".

Last month, Barr published a four-page summary of Mueller's report, stating that the special advocate had found no evidence of a criminal plot between the Trump campaign or its collaborators and the government in order to influence the 2016 presidential election. Barr's summary also indicates that Mueller was unable to determine whether Trump obstructed justice, and the Attorney General determined that, on the basis of the evidence, Trump did not do so. Prior to becoming Attorney General, Barr wrote a memo criticizing Mueller's obstruction investigation, a point that drew criticism from those who were skeptical of his impartiality.

At the same time, the Times, Post and NBC News reported that some members of Mueller's team had expressed frustration that Barr had not accurately portrayed the findings of the report. Team members believe that the evidence that Trump sought to impede the investigation is stronger than that suggested by Barr, told NBC News a US official who spoke to its members.

Officials from the Department of Justice have stated that Barr had no choice but to make a judgment because of the rules governing the inquiry procedure of the special council.

Nadler's panel voted Wednesday to allow a subpoena for the unredacted full report. Barr said it was his intention to provide the report to lawmakers this month with material removed. He added that he needed more time to edit the report, which has nearly 400 pages, containing confidential and confidential information.
