MANCHESTER – The woman kayaker who drowned in the Piscataquog River last Thursday Anna Gdanian, 32, of Manchester.
According to an obituary posted on Manchester Ink Link, Gdanian graduated from Milford Christian Academy, earned her bachelor's degree in communications from the University of New Hampshire and her associate's degree in nursing from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing. She was a private duty nurse and worked at Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown.
Her family said she was serving a missionary in Venezuela, China, Uganda, Rwanda, and Namibia over a 10-year period.
Just Before 9 pm on July 12, 911 dispatchers were notified of a kayaker who had passed the Piscataquog River and was missing.
