Kigali – The African Trade Policy Center of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), in partnership with the African Leadership Institute Thabo Mbeki (TMALI) and the Pan-African Strategic and Policy Research Group (PANAGRAF), hosted the 2nd Roundtable on Equity in Industrialization and Integration Induced by Intra – African Trade.

The roundtable is part of a series launched in 2016 and focused on the Living Labs Public-Private-People-Partnership (4Ps). Free Trade Area (FTA)

The objective of the roundtable was to introduce the concept of "Living Labs" for stakeholders in structured intra / inter-stakeholder consultations, and to explore ways to apply the concept to improve intra-African trade. It was recommended that roundtable partners use the Living Labs concept to better defend intra-African trade and AfCFTA and strengthen membership at the national, regional and continental levels.

Roundtable contributions will be published in a book and disseminated as a resource for policymakers, academics, civil society actors and other stakeholders.
