New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins spoke for the first time on Thursday of Roosevelt Rene, the man found died at Fair Lawn House last month.

"It really makes me sick to know that he's dead," said Jenkins, describing Rene as a good friend.

René, 25, was found dead on June 26 in the basement of Van Jen House. William H. Jenkins Jr., the brother of Janoris Jenkins, was charged with manslaughter in Rene's death, according to the Bergen County Attorney's Office.

Janoris Jenkins was working with René on a musical project before his death. Jenkins was in Florida when René's body was found.
