Lego is allowed to shudder as his recreates James Bond Aston Martin DB5

One of the most famous movie cars of all time – James Bond's Aston Martin DB5 – was reinvented as a Lego.

The latest version of the Lego series, the DB5 contains many gadgets on which 007 times with the car. The Aston was, of course, made famous thanks to its appearance in the 1964 film Goldfinger. Consisting of 1,290 pieces, the complex model features an ejector seat, a turntable , a hidden phone and even machine guns.

The attention to detail is immense, with Aston Martin wings applied to the moulder's silver wire wheel inserts, and a very detailed replica of the six-cylinder engine under the bonnet. You can even open the doors to reveal a radar tracker, as you'll find in Bond's own car.

In total, the model measures 10cm high, 34cm long and 12cm wide. The 1:18 scale vehicle incorporates key features such as angled headlights and lacquered front and rear bumpers, helping to make the model as realistic as possible. It is even finished in Silver Birch, just like the color of the original car.

The Aston Martin follows on the Lego Bugatti Chiron – a plastic brick version of one of the world's fastest production cars. This model consisted of 3,599 stunning individual pieces and touches such as an active rear spoiler, a moving paddle shift lever and a W16 moving piston engine.
