If successful, it could become a regular event at Kalabar, known for its high-quality intimate musical events on Thursdays (Soul Affair) and Fridays (NamJams).

The opening Wednesday is a performance by Fernando Tafish who participated in the Savannah Comics Choice Awards in Johannesburg in 2017 and was nominated for the best Pan-African comedian of the year. He shared the stage with Basket Mouth (Nigeria) and Salvador (Uganda).

Then Erich Nepembe, who is a newcomer, wants to improve his monthly budget with comedy, because his salary as a petroleum geologist (his job in the real world) can hardly afford him to pay attention in the first place.
