More than $ 165,000 worth of memorabilia were stolen from Nebraska Football Coach Nebraska's unoccupied house, Scott Frost, over the weekend, according to Lincoln, Nebraska Police. Captain Danny Reitan said Monday that Air Jordan boots are being refurbished. Police believe thieves have entered an unlocked garage, Reitan said.
Frost, a former Nebraska quarterback whose team won a share of the national title in his final year in 1997, returned to his alma mater in December in great fanfare. He was hailed as a proud program savior, who won a conference title in 1999 and has undergone four coaching changes since 2004.
Frost, 43, led UCF to a 13-0 season in 2017 and a win in Auburn series. He spent seven years as an assistant coach in Oregon before taking over at UCF two years ago.
Frost and his wife have an 8-month-old son. The family has not yet moved into the house. Frost did not immediately respond to a request for comment by the Nebraska Sports Department.
