Netflix believes that its new smart download feature will help you continue to bingo Stranger Things or Glow .
The video streaming giant debuted on Tuesday its new feature intended to facilitate the automatic download of episodes that are part of an extended series. This is an extension of the Netflix download feature released in 2016 to allow people to watch shows when they are not online.
Currently, only Android smartphones and tablets can use the new feature, and Netflix (nflx) does not say when it will be released for iOS devices or personal computers.
With the new feature, Android users who download an episode of a series on their devices will not have to manually delete the episode once they are finished in the process of watch. The feature will remove the episode and then "automatically download the next episode of the series," according to a Netflix support page.
The feature only works if people turn on Wi-Fi connections on their smartphones, so that they do not use their mobile phone data when Netflix starts to automatically download an episode on the devices.
For those who use the conventional method of downloading broadcasts, they can disable the feature by pressing the "Downloads" icon on the application. From there, they can select "Smart Downloads" in the "My Downloads" section and disable the new feature.
