In recent years, the Mets seem to have attracted the quirks of player health. The wounds are often much more serious than the initial prognosis and there have even been quite rare diseases. Here is another one:
Noah Syndergaard goes to the DL with the disease of the hand, foot and mouth. Possible, he picked it up by working in a children's camp during the all-star break. Even on the page of the Mayo Clinic's website for the disease, he says the following about Healing: [19659006] There is no specific treatment for hand-foot-and-mouth disease. Washing your hands frequently and avoiding close contact with people with foot-and-mouth disease may help reduce the risk of the child's infection.
This means that it only happens to children. So weird here with Syndergaard.
The good news is, again, that it's only a short-term thing.
Syndergaard, 25, is 6-1 with a 2.98 ERA, 1.25 and 83 strikeouts in 74 innings and two-thirds. He returned from a finger injury on July 13th. It has been the subject of commercial rumors, but most reports seem to indicate that Mets should be turned around to deal with it.
