BELGIUM (Serbia), July 13 (SeeNews) – Slovenia has achieved the highest rating in the Global Innovation Index (GII) published by Cornell University, INSEAD and the World Health Organization. Intellectual Property (WIPO).

Slovenia ranks 30th, followed by Bulgaria in 37th, Croatia 41st, Moldova 48th and Romania 49th, according to the GII report. Herzegovina in 77th place and Albania in the 83rd. Macedonia was the lowest ranked country in the region in 84th place out of a total of 127 countries surveyed

Almost all SEE countries improved their previous positions in the ranking, except for Macedonia and Moldova, which lost respectively 23 and two places, Montenegro and Romania have each lost a place.

The best winners in the region were Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with ten places each. Albania was up nine positions and Slovenia won two. Bulgaria, in turn, climbed one rank

Switzerland is at the top of the ranking, while Turkey has the lowest score among the top 50 states of the report.
