In free field, he has a breakaway speed when he ends up freeing himself and getting on his way, making him one of the guys you do not want to stop watching when he finally hits the ball. He is probably the most explosive guy on the Lions when he sees a pass or gets some action in the backfield.
2. Tate of gold, WR. It's a dead heat between Tate and Riddick to see who claims the most explosive character in the team. Some will say that it is Tate given his free field capabilities and his slippery state of mind on the field. Tate is arguably the best player in the league in terms of scoring, and has been a sustainable option that regularly turns small winnings into big games down a hat. Most likely the best example of this was the big gainer that he broke against the New Orleans Saints for a score in 2017.
3. Darius Slay, BC. At cornerback, it's hard to find a really explosive athlete because the post prides itself on more disruption, but Slay was a guy who showed the unique ability to take control of a game with a big explosive or two, whether it's interception or a forced fumble or a skyrocketing to make a key break. Slay has always been a guy who has delivered, and with his fast feet and great anticipation, it's hard to call it anything but explosive for the team, and that's something he's is very proud.

4. Marvin Jones, WR. Jones has made his way with the Lions in the last two seasons, and dominated with the ability to show separation and easily return to the depths. In 2018, Jones proved that he is easily one of the most explosive Lions with many great games. He is fast on the field and athletic crazy, with an ability to jump and soar to make huge shots. This puts Jones on the list, and keeps him as someone to watch in the offensive this season for even more development.
5. Jamal Agnew, BC. There was probably no guy who made more noise in Lions fans' consciousness than Agnew, who was a rookie regarding the punt return last year, and a guy who made the All Pro team on the spot. Two shots returned for the scores tell you everything you need to know about what Agnew can do on the field, and what he can do because of his speed and athleticism. Agnew, as the children say today, is a right fire.
Honorable Mentions: Kerryon Johnson, RB and Kenny Golladay, WR. With time, these guys may be on the list, but we simply need a bigger NFL highlight of both. In 2018, do not be surprised to see them play a major explosive role and do well for the attack.
