LAS VEGAS – Tito Ortiz bets on himself in his third fight against Chuck Liddell – both in terms of pride and financial gain.
Ortiz (19-12) revealed today during a media scramble before the Hall of the UFC Ceremony of Glory that he will not receive a basic scholarship for his fight against Liddell (21-8), which will take place later this year and will be promoted under the Golden Boy banner by boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya

The clash between Ortiz and Liddell will mark the third meeting between them . The first fight took place at UFC 47 in April 2004, with Liddell winning by knockout in the second round. They took it back to UFC 66 in December 2006, and "The Iceman" won again by TKO in the third round.
Liddell, 48, retired from the MMA in June 2010 and has not fought since. Ortiz, 43, has however been active and is finishing a presentation of the first round of Chael Sonnen at Bellator 170 in January 2017.
Although it's been almost 12 years since they clashed, Ortiz said his rivalry with Liddell is still real, and he intends to take revenge.
"Everything else was made," said Ortiz.
