In the wake of an injury to welby welterweight champion, the UFC reserved a fight between champion Tyron Woodley and best contender Darren Till for UFC 228.

Woodley (18-3-1 MMA, 8-2-1 UFC) said today at MMAjunkie that the agreements for the fight are not yet signed, but the clash is likely to take place for the card September 9th at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. The news has been reported for the first time by ESPN.com. MMAjunkie also confirmed the fight with UFC President Dana White, who also said that Covington would be stripped of the interim band when Woodley and Till are fighting
