You may or may not agree to place Daniel Cormier in the conversations among the greatest of the UFC but after what happened Saturday night at the UFC 226, he certainly deserved recognition. Cormier went into the Octagon in search of history and became a two-division simultaneous champion by beating heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic – and DC did it.
Cormier became the new UFC heavyweight champion on Saturday night in a fast and impressive way. After playing a good part of the first round, Cormier clinched a solid right hook to the seemingly unstoppable Miocic jaw to shock the world and claim victory. It was Cormier's first win since KO Patrick Cummins in 2014.

Immediately, we would learn who will be Cormier's next challenger.
The new champion wasted no time calling former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar to the cage, which was sitting Octagon-side for the main event.Lesnar entered the octagon, pushed Cormier and quickly provided an answer.Cormier took the microphone and said emphatically to Lesnar : "Kiss me now and go to sleep later", which makes the prediction of their confrontation, which has not yet a date to which Lesnar returns s the USADA test program

Cormier joins Conor McGregor by becoming the only other fighter to hold two titles at the same time.
