Nancy Pelosi had ‘other parties’ to attend at Obama’s party

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Sunday that she had better things to do than attend former President Barack Obama’s extravagant 60th birthday celebration.

” I did not go. I had other parties to go to, ”Pelosi (D-Calif.) Replied when asked about Obama’s birthday party at Martha’s Vineyard, according to the Daily Mail.

Pelosi had just attended a church service Sunday morning when Kevin Blake, who was visiting the area from Connecticut, asked him about the party before thanking the veteran Democratic politician for “keeping Republicans in line.”

Pelosi and Blake, a 61-year-old lawyer, then posed for a photo.

“To be her, the most powerful woman in Congress, and not even go to her party?” I find it hilarious, ”Blake told the Daily Mail.

“And she’s the one pushing her agenda forward.”

Obama’s party – originally slated to have a guest list of nearly 500 as well as 200 workers – at the posh Winnetu Ocean Resort has been “downsized” due to the recent increase in cases of the highly contagious Delta variant of COVID-19.

An aide to Pelosi told the Post that she was in Martha’s Vineyard to attend “private events for the House Democrats” – not for the Obama party.

Participants in the former president’s affair included George Clooney, Bruce Springsteen, Beyonce and Jay-Z. Other prominent celebrities are said to have party with the president, including Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Jennifer Hudson, Bradley Cooper, Don Cheadle, Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade, Erykah Badu and Steven Colbert.
