NASA confirms its mission on the moon of Jupiter, Europa

The researchers first presented their proposal to NASA in 2017, revealing a box-shaped undercarriage that would study both the surface and what lies underneath. The team does not need confirmation of the mission to begin – there have already been tests for its data antenna.

The moon is potentially the best candidate for life in the solar system beyond the Earth. Europa has a crust covered with ice-water (there are even traces of sea salt). If there is an ocean of water corresponding to the surface, NASA could find traces of life, even if it is only remnants of an earlier era . Clipper could also help determine the viability of Europa's human exploration, although any prospect of this is in several years.
