‘Nash County MP’ seriously injured in crash :: WRAL.com

Rocky Mount, North Carolina –Nash County Sheriff’s Deputy Jared Allison was seriously injured in an accident Thursday night.

The accident occurred on US 301 at Rocky Mount.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol said Deputy Allison was trying to stop a motorcycle on the US 301 when he collided with a Nissan Maxima while trying to cross the freeway from Old Mill Road.

The patrol vehicle then pulled off the road and overturned, according to Highway Patrol.

A witness said the MP’s SUV tipped over several times.

“It immediately went up in the air, it went up in the air and the SUV flipped probably 10 to 20 times. It flipped about 5 to 10 times in the air, then it hit the ground a few more times. hit him really, really hard, ”said Jeffrey Daniels, who witnessed the crash.

Allison was taken to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. The driver and passenger of the Maxima attended the emergency department at Nash General Hospital with non-fatal injuries.

Highway Patrol Crash Reconstruction Unit helps investigate.
