Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett said earlier this week that he was ready to become a head coach.

“I think definitely readyHackett said, via Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Newspaper. “I think you are thinking the minute you step into this business.”

Hackett interviewed the Falcons, the team announced Thursday night after the interview ended. So far, this is the only known head coach interview for Hackett.

Hackett, the 2013-14 Bills offensive coordinator and 2016-18 Jaguars offensive coordinator, has spent the past two seasons leading the Packers offense. He doesn’t call the games, but he has the best possible benchmark in that of Aaron Rodgers, who said Thursday “any team would be lucky to have” Hackett as their coach.

The Falcons also interviewed interim coach Raheem Morris, Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh and Panthers offensive coordinator Joe Brady.
