National Enquirer paid $ 200,000 to Jeff Bezos' girlfriend's brother for sending SMS: WSJ

The National Enquirer paid $ 200,000 to Jeff Bezos' mistress's brother for private SMS between the two lovers published in January, according to a Wall Street Journal report on Monday night.

Michael Sanchez, the brother of Bezos' girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez, reportedly provided intimate communications to American Media LLC, after months of speculation about how the tabloid got messages revealing lamentable details about the alleged story love of the director of Amazon.

The findings of the Review, attributed to people familiar with the subject, correspond to the conclusion drawn by private investigators working for Bezos at the beginning of February. These investigators reportedly discovered that Michael Sanchez had disclosed the texts to Enquirer, although they apparently did not find who could have paid them.

To put into context the alleged six-figure payment of Sanchez, Bezos, whose value is estimated at $ 144 billion according to the Bloomberg Billionaires index, yields more than $ 230,000 per minute.

Sanchez, a talented agent who directed television experts and reality TV judges, denied sending "the many penis selfies" allegedly in the possession of Enquirer. He declined to say he had provided billionaire photos to the tabloid, reports the WSJ.

A spokesman for Bezos and Amazon declined to comment on the latest report, as did Lauren Sanchez.

Last month, Bezos accused Enquirer's parent company of "blackmail attempts" in a scathing blog post. The tabloid, he said, threatened to publish "intimate photos" of him, including a "selfie under the belt," if he did not end an investigation into the company and its so-called political links.
