Hall County, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) – The Peachtree City National Weather Service confirmed that an EF-1 tornado had landed in Hall County early Friday morning.
The tornado had maximum winds estimated at 90 km / h, a trajectory of two and a half miles long and 300 meters wide.
It was determined that the tornado had landed at 5:50 am EDT 4.5 miles south of Clermot, Georgia, and then found three minutes later 4.4 miles southeast of Clermot, Georgia.
The National Meteorological Service stated that the damage caused by the tornado was broken and uprooted trees. There was structural damage to the Dewberry Baptist Church, where the bell tower was knocked down. Stronger winds approaching 90 km / h have occurred on both sides of Highway 284 along Nopone Road and Glade Farm Road, where many large trees have been uprooted or broken down mid-season. path.
