Okay now we get the actual official NBA cut, complete with the intro from Spike Lee.
Of course, these days I immediately associate Spike Lee with commercials, so it took me a second.
02:04
I keep thinking that these commercials featuring basketball players are the official fixtures of the NBA. It is simply impossible to separate content and advertising these days.
02:00
And we are at official game time. We will notify you … at some point in the next twenty minutes. I don’t know when it comes to those ABC shows.
01:56
Oh, it’s also worth noting that Scott Foster is one of the Game 6 officials. He and Chris Paul have some history. So expect some conspiracy theories if the Suns lose tonight.

Phoenix Suns Entrances
The Suns starters have been excellent, so no surprises here. However, they will need a better performance from their bench.
Chris Paul, PG
Devin Booker, SG
Mikal Bridges, SF
Jae Crowder, PF
Deandre Ayton, C.
01:43
I don’t see Booker continuing to score binge eating because I don’t think post-Shaq Kobe is the type of player the Suns need if they are to expand this series. Meanwhile, the Bucks are doing pretty well if Giannis plays like he plays.
01:40
Milwaukee Bucks entrees
They rightly believe that there is no reason for them to change their starting XI.
Jrue Holiday, PG
JR Tucker, PF
Khris Middleton, SG
Giannis Antetokounmpo, SF
Brook Lopez, California

Email of Ronald Mazerolle:
I still feel like the Suns are going to win the series. GO BUCKS GO !!!
I’m not going to lie, it really feels like an NBA Finals that should last seven games, it’s been amazing game over game.
01:34
I’m not going to lie, I’m not entirely comfortable with this image coming straight to my Twitter diary alongside the latest horrific news about the Delta variant spread.
01:28
Bill Walton is the next guest on this Anthony Anderson talk show ahead of the NBA Finals, which makes me wonder why we don’t just have a half hour of Bill Walton talk … I don’t know not … which of the Grateful Dead keyboardists best represents each of the Phoenix Suns starters. “Jae Crowder is Brent Mydland, he’ll go get the ball three-way every time and it’s awesome when he misses it, but when he hits ooh baby, the whole group is up.”
01:23
Celebrities:
It’s one of the most impressive celebrity lists to ever come together in one place in Milwaukee.
Chris Tucker is also the guest of this pre-NBA Finals episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live But Really Hosted By Anthony Anderson. I’m going to make a crazy guess and say it’s pre-recorded.
01:18
Predictions
I voted for the Suns to win it, but in five games. Unless the time passes differently than usual and we are in some sort of Philip K. Dick situation, this is not going to happen. Still, if the Suns force Game 7 and then win it all, I’m just going to look like a coward. I say the Suns win this game and win this series.
Am I wrong? Momentum says I’m dead wrong, but what are you saying? Send us your predictions here either by email (at [email protected]) or via Twitter (at @HunterFelt).

Devin Booker’s situation
If the Suns were ahead of this series, and if a few more baskets made their way into Game 5, that’s what we’d be looking at here, we’d be talking about Devin Booker like he’s a favorite of the Final MVPs. . Instead, we see him as potentially a problem with the Suns, despite bouncing back from a dismal Game 3 to have back-to-back nights where he scored 40 points and yet, like his fantastic near-dunk. Saturday, it won’t count if the Bucks complete their assignment in today’s game.
Is this the case of a player trying to do a lot (there is a real question whether his “taking over a game” is the best way for the Suns to play basketball) or is it just? a case of the Bucks’ top player just just having the best streak (Giannis has also had 40-point back-to-back games this streak, although it does include a Milwaukee loss in Game 2)? Well, how he plays today and whether or not the Suns manage to win will be 100% determining how that gets remembered.
01:00
Preamble
I don’t know: there may be a curse of the Phoenix Suns. They entered the NBA Finals as big favorites because it looked like Giannis Antetokounmpo was going to be too injured to be close to 100%. Now in Game 2, Giannis looked like his old self, but Phoenix still managed to take a 2-0 lead. Even when the Bucks tied 2-2, the Suns were heading home for Game 5 and looked like they had a good chance of shooting 3-2 and still having a potential Game 7 at home.
Instead, after a thrilling comeback attempt failed on Saturday, the Suns return to Milwaukee and the Bucks have a chance to prevent this streak from going on for seven years. Looks like this could be another brutal end for a Phoenix team that hasn’t won a championship in its history despite the heights of Charles Barkley (whose blunder-prone analyst career has eclipsed his life as a dominant player in 1990s) and Steve Nash (whose “Seven-Seconds-Or-Less Suns” never won a ring, but revolutionized professional basketball in their lifetime). It would also mean that Point God Chris Paul would have struck in his best shot at winning his only ring. (Barkley also has experience in this area.)
Of course, it’s not as if the Bucks have enjoyed uninterrupted success since their last championship with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the 1970s. If they win, it will be a remarkable achievement, especially after being completely dominated (ne let’s not forget) in the first two games of the series. There is no doubt that Antetokounmpo, who is playing a fantastic game across the board, offering both dunks and key blocks, is ready for an NBA Finals trophy, but my lord can we say a few words for Khris Middleton who has been Milwaukee’s top scorer for much of that three-game winning streak? He should be considered a star after these playoffs.
So will the Bucks seal a championship or will the Suns force an Epic Game Seven? We don’t know, but the Larry O’Brien Trophy is in the building and that always makes things more exciting! If you want to contribute to today’s liveblog this could be the last time, maybe the last time this year, I don’t know! Email your thoughts to [email protected] or tweet them to @HunterFelt and we’ll use them as we go. This is the sixth game of the NBA Finals between the Phoenix Suns and the Milwaukee Bucks! The official departure time is 9:00 PM EST, but nationwide TV coverage means it will likely be a little later and, in any case, we’ll be back much sooner!
