NBA Playoffs 2019: Pascal Siakam of the Raptors will play the fourth game against the Sixers despite a calf injury

The Toronto Raptors are 2-1 in their second-round series with the Philadelphia 76ers. They need all their best players available. That was doubtful before match 4 because of a calf injury caused by Pascal Siakam in match 3. At one point he was dubious, but shortly before the revelation Sunday afternoon, the team announced that he would be available to play.

During media availability Saturday, Siakam admitted that he was not sure when he suffered the injury. However, ESPN's Tim Bontemps says Siakam tried to stumble Joel Embiid with the back of his right leg in the second half of the third match.

Siakam became a second scoring option for the Raptors behind Kawhi Leonard. In a 116-95 loss to Philadelphia in Game 3, Siakam scored 20 points on 7 out of 15 shots while getting 3 rebounds.

In the first three games of the series against the Sixers, Siakam averaged 23.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals while shooting 34.5 percent from behind. The first-round pick of 2016 was a considerable plus for the Raptors in their first-game win, since it had scored 29 points on a 12-for-15 performance extremely effective.

If Siakam can not go, it is possible that the great veteran Serge Ibaka slip into the starting training alongside Marc Gasol.
