After the Golden State Warriors defended their home judgment and took a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference finals, the Portland Trail Blazers needed a big response in Game 3. home.
They delivered one in the first half, taking a double digit lead at the break. After an even first quarter, the Trail Blazers used a 19-7 record in the middle of the second quarter to take control and extend their advantage until 18 until the end of the half. In the end, they took a 66-53 lead at halftime.
The 10 Trail Blazers who played in the first half scored a bucket, and Meyers Leonard took a big step forward in his first playoff start. He had as many baskets as Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum combined and the combined trio for 35 points.
