It's already over, and we've been reminded of that with C. J. McCollum when the Portland Trail Blazers won their first playoff victory since 2016.
Portland beat the Oklahoma City Thunder, 104-99, in the first game of its first-round playoff series on Sunday. And after the match during his post-game press conference, a jogging report of McCollum's memory:
He told Jennifer that he was going to try to do that.
Do you remember how it all went?
It was mid-August 2018, and McCollum had made the headlines stating that he would never join the Warriors or another superteam to chase an NBA championship. His reasoning: "I'm not built like these guys. I've been raised differently. "
Social media took this and worked, so much that McCollum commented on Twitter. "You always stay with old stuff," he says. "You've made me out of here like an ex-bitter one."
He wrote that the Warriors were one of the best teams ever assembled – one fact – with four Hall of Fame players and another on the way (Demarcus Cousins) – another fact.
"I'm happy," he continued. "Stop making it look like a [scorned] sheesh man. "
You stay up to old things. Yall has brought me out here as an ex bitter. 1 of the best teams ever met with 2 players you could claim are among the 15 best to tie them. 4 hall of famers with another on the way. I am happy to stop making me look like a scornful Sheesh man https://t.co/4xVYw5FDOv.

The problem is that Portland had just been swept in consecutive playoffs: first in 2016 by the Warriors (which is understandable), and then embarrassing by the New Orleans Pelicans in 2017 (unexplainable).
Next came Jennifer, who had heard enough about McCollum. She had a simple mandate: "Win a playoff game and then talk".

McCollum's response has become viral. "I'm trying Jennifer."
He instantly became the next big meme of the NBA.
It was a t-shirt.
It has become a work of art.
It's become a comment.
He took over social media. That's why McCollum had a deep and warm laugh about the issue. Jennifer was a legend, even if it was only for one tweet.
C.J tried, and he did. And now, Jennifer says that she has fans of all types of NBA fans asking her for help. She now has a new name: the whisperer in the playoffs.
All types of fans @ me talked on Twitter about "can you talk to the Lakers for me"
"Please have a conversation with André Drummond"
"Speak to the bulls"
you are too funny
