We knew the Los Angeles Lakers would play on Christmas Day this year (because they still do), but now we know who their opponent will be: the Dallas Mavericks, which is a bit of a surprise, given that the most expected to see them. take on the Golden State Warriors and LA Clippers in some order during NBA opening week (the Lakers will likely have at least one game before Christmas).
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski kind of got the ESPN leak. Dude, this guy has springs everywhere! And apparently learned Photoshop in the short offseason!
Hopefully LeBron actually wears this hat during the game. It would now be a festive way to hide baldness!
Seriously, while this is kind of a surprising match, it should be a really fun game. LeBron James’ duel with Luka Doncic as the Lakers and Mavericks went into overtime in their first showdown last season was one of the most entertaining games of the whole year, and it’s always a pleasure to watch Doncic. trying to outdo the man he grew up idolizing. as James tries to remind her that he’s still king.
It’s just a shame that Dwight Howard isn’t around to do it again, as the feedback from the Mavericks (and their fans) was invaluable:
I still can’t believe we’re only three weeks away from regular season NBA games, but the league is at least (at least) giving us a really good one as it hits the ground. It is a gift that inspires enthusiasm.
