NBC shakes up the television in the late evening, giving Carson Daly's crack to a colored woman who is a star on YouTube.

The channel announced Thursday that a new show called "A Little Late with Lilly Singh" will air at 1:35 pm EDT from September.

Singh will be the only woman to host a late night show on a large broadcast network.

His half-hour program will include studio interviews and pre-recorded comedy sketches, NBC said.

In a statement, Singh called the prospect of being an Indo-Canadian woman with her own late-night show "a dream come true".

She has performed in HBO's "Fahrenheit? 451", "Bad Moms" and "Ice Age: Collision Course" movies.

Singh's YouTube channel, in which she creates humorous and other videos, has more than 14 million subscribers, NBC said.

Last month, Daly announced that it was time to end his show "Last Call" and focus on new and ongoing projects, as a host and producer of "The Voice" on NBC.
