A little over a week ago, we reported that Kenan Thompson had confirmed that he was staying Saturday Night Live for at least a year, consolidating his status as a member of the oldest cast in the series. Now, however, keep it on SNL a bit more complicated because NBC gave a serial order to his comedy pilot The Kenan showThis is a newly widowed father who struggles to raise his two zany children and reluctantly accepts the help of his goofy father-in-law (Andy Garcia!). This comes from The Hollywood Reporter, who says that Thompson should still stay SNL for another year, but "we do not know in what capacity", which means that it might not appear as regularly as now (but that's only a guess of THR, not a confirmation).

Thompson should also be a judge for the NBC comedy show Bring the funnywith THR saying that he'll do it and then film the next season of SNL, then finally move on to The Kenan show next summer (when would he have apparently ended with SNL). Basically, Thompson has a busy year ahead of him.
