Nearly 20,000 new vaccines released in Utah Department of Health’s Saturday report

New cases
686 new cases were reported, for a total of 370,770.

Test
6,752 additional people were tested, for a total of 2,201,426 people. The seven-day moving average of positive tests is now 681 per day, or about 12.2% of those tested.

Hospitalizations
223 people are currently hospitalized. Since March 2020, 14,664 Utahns have been hospitalized for COVID-19.

Deaths
22 new deaths have been reported, for a total of 1,929 statewide. Of the newly reported deaths, 19 occurred before February 6, 2021. Newly reported deaths include:

  • aged 65 to 84, resident of Emery County, hospitalized at time of death
  • 65 to 84, Davis County resident, not hospitalized
  • aged 65 to 84, resident of Salt Lake County, not hospitalized
  • aged 45 to 64, resident of Weber County, resident of long-term care facility
  • over 85, resident of Beaver County, hospitalized at time of death
  • aged 65 to 84, resident of Washington County, not hospitalized
  • aged 65 to 84, resident of Salt Lake County, hospitalized at time of death
  • aged 65 to 84, resident of Washington County, resident of long-term care facility
  • aged 65 to 84, resident of Beaver County, hospitalized at time of death
  • over 85, resident of Utah County, resident of long term care facility
  • over 85, resident of Washington County, not hospitalized
  • aged 45 to 64, resident of Weber County, not hospitalized
