DiGiorno Crispy Pan Crust frozen pepperoni pizza contains textured soy protein, a known allergen that is not declared on the label, the US Department of Food Safety and Food Inspection Service (FSIS) said on Monday. of Agriculture.

Nestlé USA Inc. is recalling 27,872 pounds of pizza after a consumer complaint revealed that the frozen pepperoni pizza product carton may in fact contain the three-meat frozen pizza, according to the FSIS statement.

The recalled pizza products were manufactured on June 30, 2021 and shipped nationwide.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse effects, the statement said.
