A suspect is in custody, according to a statement from the Bellevue Police Department.
Police first responded to a call about a possible bomb inside a moving truck in the drive-in parking lot shortly before 9:30 p.m. (10:30 p.m. ET), then received further calls about a shooting, the statement said.
Two of the victims were taken to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, while the other two were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The authorities do not identify the victims until their families have been informed.
Lt. Andy Jashinske said a moving truck was on fire in Sonic’s parking lot, but no bomb was found, and police said there was no indication there was any ‘other suspects involved.
