At least two people were killed and two others injured in a shooting at a fast food restaurant in Nebraska on Saturday night, police said.
A suspect has been taken into custody following gunfire at a Drive-In Sonic in Bellevue, Neb., A southern suburb of Omaha. Authorities said there was no indication of additional suspects at this stage of the investigation.
“Officers have discovered four victims with gunshot wounds,” a statement from the Bellevue City Police Department said. “Two victims were taken to the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Two other victims were determined to be deceased at the scene. The victims will be identified after completing the appropriate family notifications.”
Bellevue Police first responded to reports of a possible bomb inside a truck in the restaurant’s parking lot before the call was changed to a shootout.
Witnesses reported a vehicle fire in the parking lot, to which police did not respond.

Several agencies responded to the shooting, including the Nebraska State Patrol, the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office, and the Omaha Police Department’s Crime Lab and Bomb Squad.

“We will investigate this matter to the fullest extent, completely,” Bellevue Police spokesman Andy Jashinske said at a press conference, according to WOWT-TV in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Bellevue is located approximately 10 miles south of Omaha along the Missouri River, which serves as the border between Nebraska and Iowa.
