Halloween is a few weeks away, and if you’re vaxxed and ready to rage, you better get your costume nailed as soon as humanly possible. Why the rush? Because since COVID canceled Halloween festivities last year, America has been living with such a pent-up Halloween spirit that everyone has gobbled up costumes like fun-sized candy from the time buckets plastic pumpkins began to appear at CVS.

As they do every year, major food brands have released their own Halloween costumes, so fans of every consumable imaginable can dress up as their favorite snacks and drinks. But thanks to all that aforementioned pent-up Halloween spirit, these novelty costumes are selling faster than ever this year. (Sorry to crush your dreams, Hidden Valley Ranch fans.) You have to be in it to earn it, so if any of the following costumes pique your interest, act fast.

The Little Boy Starburst

Little Boy's Berry and Cream Starburst Costume

Fourteen long years ago our televisions were bombarded by a tiny little boy who loved berries and cream, and our brains have been infected with his merry songs and dances ever since. And now, ultimately, none of us should feel the awkwardness when we randomly walk into its joyous jig in public places, thanks to the power of TikTok. Don’t you remember him? Let me jog your memory:

In August, this little boy who went crazy for the berries and cream of Starburst influenced a new generation and went viral on TikTok, inspiring an artistic movement around the hashtag #berriesandcream, which raised 1,2 billion seen in less than two months.

This rapid rise to fame might be the reason Starburst was only able to make a handful of Little Lad costumes for this Halloween; they can only be earned by performing the Berry and Cream routine on TikTok and tagging it with #StarburstLittleLad and #Sweepstakes by Thursday, October 7. Don’t worry about repeating your number, because the winners will be chosen at random, so even if you suck you still have a chance.

The Dunkin family

For some people, it’s not enough to just “run” on Dunkin. No, these people want – no, need – more than the medium roast Arabica bean essence that runs through their veins. These people are intended to to become Dunkin ‘, and this Halloween they’ll finally have their chance.

In collaboration with Spirit Halloween, Dunkin ‘is launching a line of tasty costumes that can help you strengthen your bond with Ben Affleck’s favorite restaurant. The range includes the iconic Donut sprinkled with rose and Cafe Dunkin disguises, both of which sold out last year, despite the fact that Halloween was essentially canceled. This year, two new Dunkin ‘favorites are joining the costume party: a Dunkin ‘Cold Brew suit and one child size MUNCHKINS Donut Hole Treats Box suit. These sets are going to be the hottest fashion trend in Boston this fall, so hurry if you hope to score one.

Boxed wine Franzia

Do you love canned wine so much that you wish you could marry it but your romantic plans were man-wrecked? Even if you can’t get your relationship certified legally, two can still be one with this eye-catching Franzia boxed wine costume, which features an interior side pocket that can hold a full wine dispenser bag. You and your precious wine will finally be packed in the same box, which is so beautiful.

Franzia offers two beautiful varieties of boxed wine costumes: a blend of rich and buttery chardonnay and one sophisticated blend of dark red. And to help keep you safe when you come home on a wild, wine-drunken Halloween night, the costumes also glow in the dark.

Let us know if you spot any other branded edibles in the seasonal aisle this month. We will keep you posted on what else we find.
