Trump's feud over the Fox's intensified Thursday morning when he told Fox News host Brian Kilmeade that he "was not happy with the network. ". But it was Wednesday's president's tweet in which he declared that "the fox does not work for us!" this prompted Cavuto's answer.

"First of all, Mr President, we do not work for you, I do not work for you, my job is to cover you, not to cover you, or to stop you, to report to you, To call bullets and to work, Mr. President, our job here is to keep the score, not settle accounts, "said Cavuto in response to the tweet.

After explaining his "fair and balanced" reporting, Cavuto said Trump was not a fan of the negative press or anyone questioning him. Cavuto explained, "You are the president, it comes with work, just as if you were checking what you say and do, it comes with my work"

Cavuto checked Trump by pointing out numerous examples of the president's misinformation and misrepresentation. "I'm not the one who said that tariffs were a wonderful thing, you are, I'm not the one who said Mexico would pay for the wall, you did it." I am not the one who claimed that Russia did not get it mixed up in the 2016 election, you did, "said Fox News host.

Cavuto continued to read Trump's false claims, as when he denied having paid Stormy Daniels; he said the Access Hollywood tape was false; he claimed that he had inherited a depression from Obama; and his recent turnaround on the firearms background check in a few hours. "These are not fake items, they are real items, and you really told them," said Cavuto, adding, "False, that's when it's wrong, Mr. Speaker, not when it's unpleasant. "

In the end, Cavuto acknowledged that the media was not always fair to the president, but that did not mean that he was entitled to his own facts or special treatment. "It's hard to understand, Mr President, that you are the leader of the free world does not entitle you to a free pass, but unfortunately a free press," Mr Cavuto concluded.
